Wednesday night is a special night. Kangeiko. That means people from all
over Portland will be showing up Wednesday night to practice at Ojukan. I
know we are all worried about the weather. So let me put this message out.

Despite the fact that the weather is uncertain, lets all assume that there
will be practice tomorrow night. This is a special occasion, and while
nobody wants us to take unnecessary risks, I think we should all proceed
with the assumption that the weather will recede, and all will be good.

I will send an update out tomorrow. If you do not hear anything from this
email list, assume all is good and practice will take place. In the event
that you miss my email, please know that I personally will be at the Armory
,regardless of the weather, and you can show up, we can have a great time
doing 'bench' Judo!

I expect most of the non-Ojukan participants to show up between 6:30PM and
7:00PM. Please make an effort to be there by 6:30 for a good warm-up, and
help the Ojukan team provide a warm welcome to those brave and dedicated
Judoka from the other Portland clubs.

These events (kangeiko) are always fun and a great experience, so don't
deny yourself the great opportunity to have fun and practice with people
from other local clubs. This is what Judo is all about!

It doesn't matter how beautiful your theory is, it doesn't matter how smart
you are. If it doesn't agree with experiment, it's wrong. ~Richard P.
