Shochugeiko is a custom in Japan where Judoka get together for an extended
summer practice session.  Sort of like camp, but you get to sleep in a nice
bed (yours!).  Judo clubs in Portland have been conducting these summer
practice sessions for many years now, and it has become a excellent
tradition that allows for fellowship, intense conditioning and of course, a
great big fun pile of Judo!

And there's no extra cost.  Just bring a smile and a clean(ish) gi.

It is Shochugeiko time. 10 straight days of summer training starting next
week on Tuesday, August 20 at Obukan at 6 pm. It's a great opportunity to
meet and train with our fellow Portland judoka and visit their dojos. Below
you will find the schedule for date, time and dojo. This calendar will be
posted on the obukanjudo.org site as well. Please check back for updates.
