WE want to invite you as Obukan <http://obukanjudo.org/> Judo is Hosting
the first Northwest Yudanshakai Promotional Point Tournament on Sunday
January 11th 2015 in Portland,OR!!! This is Kohaku type Shia following the
USJF guidelines for Batsugun promotions and points. Open to all USJF, USJA,
USA Judo registered players with a minimum rank of Sankyu. Entry Fee is
only $25.00

This first tournament will have the following separate Male and Female
divisions:

I. Brown belt division (Sankyu, Nikyu, Ikkyu)-

• Contestants will received 1 participation point

• Contestants will receive 1 point for each win by Ippon and ½ point for
each win by Wazari.

• USJF rules apply for promotion by Batsugun (4 Wins by Ippon)

II. Black belt divisions –Division A (Shodan, Nidan, Sandan), Division B
(Yodan and higher)

• Contestants will receive 1 point for each win by Ippon and ½ point for
each win by Wazari.

• USJF rules apply Batsugun Black Belt division 5 Ippon Wins

All Contestants will receive certificates with the number of points that
they have earned for this event.

Two rounds with the winner stays up!

o Only Ippon and Wazari scores will be awarded.

o Hikiwaki will be awarded for draws. No Golden Score.

o White Gis only. Blue Gis are not permitted.

The tournament goal as designed by Toshio Ichinoe Sensei is to provide an
additional way for those to compete and gain additional judo experience
while getting promotional points. Pure JUDO FUN!!
